The Wellfleet Fire & Rescue Department is a municipal Fire Department on Cape Cod, providing Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services, Fire Protection, Fire Prevention, Safety Education and other Emergency Services. 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Wellfleet Fire & Rescue Department is to preserve life, protect property and promote safety through fire prevention, public education and emergency response.

Code of Ethics

My fundamental responsibility as a “Protector of Society” is the safeguarding and preservation of human life and property against the elements of fire and disaster. I will never allow personal feelings, nor danger to self, to deter my responsibilities. I will, without provocation, recognize and uphold the responsibilities of my duties, dedicating myself, before God and to the public, who have placed their faith in me and my chosen profession.
